Hello, good people,
We are thrilled to welcome our artist scholars for the first day of school TOMORROW, Thursday, August 24th. It’s going to be a glorious day—and a LONG one with senior sunrise starting at 6:15am on the football field, freshmen orientation at 8:30 in the Gordon Gym, a 9:30 start for our 10th-12th graders and a full day ending at 3:45*.
We are so glad students and families have taken advantage of our opportunities to mix and mingle before this epic day. The Petaluma zip code party was such a nice afternoon of connecting, and Town Hall got us all excited about the potential of tapping into all that awesome family engagement.
For those MSA families residing in San Rafael and southern Marin, your zip code get together is this Saturday and for those in Novato, I hope to see you Sunday and hear about your kiddos’ first days—details on those parties here.
When we show up for each other and pour our heart into our work with students, our “wide range of normal” high schoolers match our enthusiasm and hard work. Thank you for all your efforts to support your own artist scholar and their MSA and NHS communities. We know we ask (and offer!) a lot, but we think the positive impact on kids is worth it. Please read about specific ways you can contribute to the organizing and resourcing of our programs through the MSA Foundation.
With so much love for all parts of our communities,
Michelle Cortez
