MSA Mentors Help Students Find their Inner Artist at Empower Tomorrow

Students representing MSA’s Career Technical Education programs helped NUSD 8th graders explore their inner artists last week during the 2nd Annual Empower Tomorrow event at the College of Marin Indian Valley Campus. With local technical programs, businesses and high school programs showcasing training and career opportunities, students explored building trades, technical theatre, medical careers, first responder programs, and more.

MSA students were fantastic mentors, encourage middle schoolers to try out one or more of our many artsy/technical programs. Pictured clockwise from top left students hosted a general MSA table to share information about the additional MSA’s additional 12 arts programs, Product Design was a popular stop for freshly screen-printed bandana’s and 3D printed key chains, Photography helped students take portraits, Cinematic Arts had students filming and learning how to record sound with a giant (fuzzy) microphone, Digital Art/Animation and Video Game Design show students how to make magic on the screen.
