Hello fabulous MSA folk,
It’s OPEN HOUSE time!
I treasure every opportunity to connect with families—both the new, incoming MSA Hornets AND our beloved existing folks.
This year’s Open House is a return to an in-person version that celebrates face-to-face learning and our warm and inclusive whole campus culture.
MSA will do what we do—infuse arts offerings across campus.
- Greeting all families, our music departments rocks out at the flag pole with sets starting at 6:00, 6:30, and 7:00.
- Welcome to all, our Photography and Creative Writing students invite ALL families to check out a new Words and Image exhibition and reception in the C4A gallery all night and to student readings at 7:00 in the C4A theatre.
- And all our other MSA teachers get cozy congregating in the 2800 wing serving up some delicious Chidel Chili.
The cool thing about this event is the opportunity to check out your artists’ full day experience – experiment with the science teachers in the new Center for Sciences and meander from hall to hall checking out all the other departments (and their chilis) too.
Come say hi to our friends in the MSA Foundation in the Gordon Gym (your starting place) where we’ll have MSA gear and answer questions about Showcase tickets and volunteering. Looking forward to seeing you all soon!

P.S. We need to provide numbers for the food trucks at Showcase asap. Every year we sell out of tickets to Showcase. It’s a party you really can’t miss—please consider purchasing your Showcase tickets tonight so we can adequately order up the sushi, rice bowls, chicken and waffles, and more (creative talent, good company and delicious food? Seriously—it’s going to be an awesome party!).
