Join us in welcoming Sarah Levi and Roxana Leiva to our MSA faculty.
Sarah Levi steps into our Sculpture and Ceramics classes with a BA in Art from Cal Poly Humboldt and her teaching credential from Sonoma State University. As an artist, Sarah works with ceramics and small metals and finds inspiration in the peculiar and darker side of the natural world. She is eager to bring her fresh perspective and cultivate creative expression and exploration in all levels of Sculpture and Ceramics classes.
Not at all new to our arts-infused campus and now fully integrated in MSA is Art and Design teacher Roxana Leiva. We love the way Ms Leiva addresses cultural competency in her classes—especially with her expertise of the art techniques and history from the Latin American diaspora. Ms Leiva often travels to Latin American countries, including her recent art work study travels this summer to Argentina and Chile. She brings back inspiration from international artists across North and South America. This year, Ms Leiva will teach one section of Foundation Art and several sections of Art and Design 1 and 2 as we continue to flesh out a full three-year sequence of Art and Design in the Americas in the future and fold her perspective and expertise into our MSA class and program offerings.
Arts for all is about evolving into the most inclusive arts community we can be and about learning and growing from each other. We are excited to learn from Ms Levi and Ms Leiva as they share and integrate their perspectives, experiences, and talents into our creative communities.
