Hello, Creative Community,
This week we show off an innately human way to bond—breaking bread together.
Our artsy teens are taking advantage of every form of caloric intake these days: free school snack and lunch, Wellness Wednesday treats, and the occasional appearance of our community partners like Tommy Salsa and Kona Ice. They share time together in line, witty rapport, and nachos while they become more collaborative decision makers and, hopefully, long-lasting friends.

Our artsy grown-ups can also break bread together soon. Divine Wine, MSA’s annual fall fundraiser, offers heavenly eats and drinks in a reception, show, and auction that consistently delivers in excellent company, stellar student exhibitions and performances, and financial stability for the year. Many a long-lasting family friendship is forged in this sweet fall event. Details on tickets are below. Trust me, this event is sweeter than shaved ice, and that’s saying a lot on a hot day like today.
With so much love for our fantastic community,
Michelle Cortez
P.S. It’s Back-to-School Night next Thursday night. There will be a rock band to guide you to the Gordon Gym at 6. See you there?
