Sweet Transitions

Hello, Dear MSA Communities,

It’s a time of sweet transitions—seniors experiencing their last performances and exhibitions as well as long awaited rites of passage like MSA Theatre’s Senior Showcase last Saturday night and senior breakfast this morning.

At the same time, younger students are getting ready to step up and promote to the next grade. Our juniors are preparing to be seniors and our freshmen flex into sophomores. I love seeing our maturing students stream into the Center for the Arts for Art Fest to appreciate the work of their peers accomplished on our arts infused campus. There is a palpable respect for creativity and “putting yourself out there” in showing work in these ways. (See for yourself! Come to our Animation Fest tonight, our Town Hall #4/Senior Awards Night tomorrow evening or to the Arts Fest closing and/or our film fest Friday night!)

As transitions go, we also seize the opportunity to greet our incoming students and families this time of year. Welcome incoming freshmen and new transfer students! You are invited to anything/everything on our remaining calendar. We love it when you tangibly see yourself in your new home at Novato High and MSA.

A healthy community wraps around its students and its educators and shows love and appreciation for our traditions, our current hard AND joyful work together, and co-creates our future from our potential. No matter what your role, thank you for staying engaged, inspired, and empowered through the arts and our diverse communities.

With love in the all the mess,
Michelle
MSA Director/NHS Assistant Principal

P.S. One more explicit reminder: Double check to be sure you have marked your calendar for our Thursday, June 2 combined MSA Town Hall #4 and MSA Senior Awards Night. That’s tomorrow night and everyone is invited! We’ll reflect together, celebrate our awesome seniors, and preview what’s in store for our 20th Anniversary next year. We’ll be in person in the C4A—current families, don’t miss it!
