Dear MSA Families & Friends,
Showcase is around the corner and I’m so happy that it’s back on campus! As a senior parent, this year’s Showcase holds special meaning—it will be my last time attending, and volunteering, as a current MSA parent.
If you haven’t attended before, it is such a fun event, and it truly feels like the entire school joins in the fun, performing, volunteering, and celebrating all together. Students are happy and excited, and they take such pride and ownership over their art, their friendships, and their leadership roles (as they should!). Parents are relaxed and joyful, chatting with other parents they haven’t seen in a while, and watching their children shine.
Although it is a bittersweet time for my family, I look forward to next year’s Showcase, where I will reunite with other alum families to support MSA and celebrate another fantastic school year of incredible artwork and performances. MSA is so much more than my child’s experience, and Showcase gives a wonderful glimpse into each department and what all of the other MSA students have been up to for the past many months. That’s what makes Showcase the ultimate love letter to MSA, and that’s why I love this event so much.
This might be my last Showcase as a current parent, but it’s definitely not my last Showcase.
Sincerely,
Jessica S. Egan
