Creative Writers Collaborate on Children’s Book
Creative Writing Workshop is thrilled to collaborate with first grade students at Lynwood Elementary with their teacher, Sara Fajardo, a published children’s book author!
The project launched with a visit from Ms. Fajardo facilitating a helpful workshop on writing children’s books. MSA writers then took a walking field to Lynwood to meet with first-grade collaborators & illustrators to get their ideas on characters, conflicts & themes for the short children’s books they will now develop. Workshop students return on March 31 to get input on their drafts.
Lynwood first graders will start their illustrations, and we will be exhibiting the final books at Copperfield’s in Downtown Novato! We are also hoping to have a reception there to celebrate the collaboration & final products!
