Events Celebrate Multi-Talented Students

Hello Creative Community,

The “hundred days of October” are coming to a close—but not before a few more exciting programs and school events.

First, I want to shout out all of our artist athletes and especially our MSA seniors on our girls Varsity Flag Football! Lexie Snyder and Mimi Hamama are incredible dancers and vocalists AND fabulous football team players (among many other ways they lead and perform). October was full of athletic events and I loved seeing the way our artists also run fast, pass, celebrate teammates and persevere. Lexie and Mimi are prime examples of our multitalented students and we love rooting them on whether on the field or the stage!

I also can’t say enough about Big Band Dance tomorrow night.  Seriously!  This sweet event mixes music and dance performances with interactive dance lessons and opportunities to grab a partner and step on to the dance floor. Family friendly, dress-up worthy, and a whole lot of fun, Big Band celebrates all the fun and progress of October. Come see (and dance!) for yourself!

Finally, we close October and begin November with Latin American cultural celebrations for Dia De Los Muertos with a gorgeous ofrenda in our library, several Art and Design students making art downtown and a giant la catarina puppet collaboratively prepared for the Novato downtown Nov. 1 parade and celebration.

October may be 31 days, but there are 100 ways we creatively collaborate and demonstrate our love for our multi-talented, diverse community of young artists and their families.

Warmly,

Michelle Cortez
