The MSA String Orchestra, Concert Band, and Wind Ensemble all performed at the California Music Educators Association Bay Section Festival at Benicia Middle School on Friday, April 22.
The String Orchestra started off the day with a solid performance, followed by the Wind Ensemble and the Concert Band, both of which earned Unanimous Superior ratings. This prestigious distinction requires that each adjudicator, including the sightreading judge, gives the ensemble a score high enough to reach the “Superior” category, the highest possible rating. Congratulations to all of our classical musicians on their hard work and excellent playing.
All three classical ensembles will perform again at our last concert of the year on May 26—come and hear these award-winning music students in our Center for the Arts!
