Last week’s concerts with talented musicians and vocalists from MSA and San Jose Middle School celebrated more than music. Both concerts embraced the transition from summer to fall with repertoire focusing on new beginnings and community. Instrumental Music kicked it off Thursday night with a program featuring new collaborations—including String Orchestra and Wind Ensemble sharing the stage. Vocal Music brought us home Friday with a program full of warmth and joy, plus an amazing performance by the SJMS Choir. The music was phenomenal and the message was clear—there’s no place like a strong community bound together by art.
