MSA Dance Goes to the Circus

Forty MSA Dancers had the rare experience of learning circus skills last week when they traveled to San Francisco’s Circus Center to learn first hand skills in acrobatics, aerial, trapeze and more! The center, originally founded as the Pickle Family Circus in 1974 is known as the iconic Bay Area troupe that kicked off the United States’ circus renaissance movement.

The vibrant Circus Center today produces professional-quality shows starring students, instructors, and community members and offers classes, campus and outreach programs for adult and youth enthusiasts. It’s pre-professional youth troupe has sent students on to careers in circuses around the world. MSA Dance hopes to continue developing the skills for students…stay tuned for more!
