Cinematic Arts had an amazing showing in the All-American High School Film Festival’s Annual Winter Film Invitational recently—a national 5-day film challenge. This year, the prompt was ‘The Snowball Effect” and film teams had to include imagery of ice cubes, a line of dialog (‘I’m just a chill guy/girl/whatever”), and sound effects (intense clock ticking, and a cell phone vibrating).
We had three teams enter, and over 25 teams participated. There were 10 finalists, including all three of our MSA teams! The teams were:
Team A—“Melted Friendships” Shelby Wise, Mia Huang, Porter Note & Moira Dolan
Team B— “Are You Being Followed?” Luka Weaver, George Pringle, Avery Belair, & Jace Adams
Team C— “The Sky Glows” Jack Alvarado, Noam Rignault-Clement, Noah Gibbs, & Yuri Arias
And on top of that…Team A took first place and WON IT ALL!
You can check out all of the great films from playlist linked below, but we encourage everyone to see them on the Big Screen during the Pretty Big Film Festival on Feb. 11—so invite people to come on down! Tickets are only $5🙂
