In the Spirit of Connection

Hello, Dear MSA Communities,

We’ve got spirit, yes we do!

As we settle into the new academic school year, it’s exciting to see MSA students show up as leaders across campus and as problem solvers and collaborators in classrooms. I appreciate the friendly student smiles in school-wide assemblies and passing in the hallways and feel thankful for the many ways we connected before school started. Connection and belonging is so important in high school!

For our newest artist/scholars, it’s a big transition for some. I can’t emphasize enough the value in attending school events like this Friday’s Outdoor Movie Night sponsored by MSA Cinematic Arts and NHS ASB Leadership. Nights like these are family friendly and a great way to encourage outside of class friendships. It’s not even cringe-y if you and little brothers and sisters tag along (plenty of space to spread out behind the Center for the Arts.)

Hope to see you all there!

Warmest regards,

Michelle Cortez
MSA Director
