A Wonderfully Full October

Hello, dear MSA Communities,

We are having such a wonderfully full October.

Divine Wine on Saturday night was, well—DIVINE—and we are deeply appreciative of all the ways our communities came together with generosity and support for our young artists.

Though we haven’t yet put all the props and water coolers and microphones away from Divine Wine, the MSA staff is already busy planning and implementing more events in October including the sold out MSA rock band concert Monday, Homecoming Parade this Friday night*, Beetlejuice Movie Night next Friday, a vocal music concert Wed, Oct 26 and Big Band Dance on Thursday, Oct 27th. The creativity and engagement is multi-faceted and we hope everyone finds one or more events to enjoy.

To get us ready for all these events,  we come together again for our MSA Town Hall #2 next week—Wednesday, Oct 19th. We want to share a little 20th Anniversary looking back at events in our past and leverage booster help for this year’s iteration of collaborations like Big Band Dance—an event that relies on parent volunteer support. I’ve also decided to move this Town Hall meeting to Zoom to ensure we balance all the fun with some time to be home with our families. Big, bold creative moves balanced with sweet simple family time; I think we can do it especially when many hands make light work.

With so much love for all parts of our communities,

Michelle Cortez
