Creative Writers Win Scholastic Awards

Creative Writers Win Scholastic Awards 1

Exciting news! Congratulations to the 30 Creative Writers  recognized with a regional Scholastic Writing Award, including four Gold Key Recipients(!) who move on to national judging, and our first-ever American Voices Nominee!

Jahan Zubair’s screenplay, “I Love My Guts,” is being honored as one of the top five pieces from 374 works submitted this year in Marin & San Francisco counties. This is a huge honor, and we can’t wait to see the script brought to life through her production in Cinematic Arts, her primary MSA program.

Our four Golden Key recipients are:

  • Lillian Braly, ’27, for her poem “In the Garden of Eden, Eve Learns to Disagree;”
  • Chloe Gillmer, ’26, for her flash fiction “How the Good Soldier Fights;”
  • Kiyoshi Glenn-Horstein, ’28(!), for his poem “The Zephyr Song” and
  • Jahan Zubair, ’27, for her screenplay “I Love My Guts.”
