MSA Boosters—Help Students Thrive
Each MSA program is supported by a booster group made up of adult and student volunteers and led by volunteer chairpersons who meet monthly with their faculty to assist each program with various needs, including:
- Field trip support—to provide drivers, organizational and logistical assistance;
- Event support—those programs which host events (like an MSA soiree, performance or art show) require direct support from boosters to provide set up and take down volunteers, concessions donations and staffing, ticket sales, costume support (where needed), program development and more;
- Class support—some programs welcome and/or rely on assistance to organize special guests, special projects and more;
- Publicity support—with so many talented students making noteworthy creations booster volunteers help immensely to get the word out so students’ can be recognized! Publicity includes photography of events, performances, and artwork; submitting press release information and videos to the MSA Communications Coordinator to include on the MSA website, YouTube channel, Facebook page and outside media sources and generally helping to bring attention to outstanding students or MSA projects whose work may merit a feature or stand-alone story.
Attention field trip drivers:
All drivers for NUSD must have a driver authorization form on file with the district. It’s a fairly simple 3-step process: Drivers fill out the forms (with proof of insurance, a copy of their DMV driving record -obtain online) and turn in to your school for approval. Please allow two weeks to complete the approval process.
