Photography Admission Guidelines
Applicants of all skill levels are encouraged to apply. Contact Mr. Fletcher with any questions or for assistance.
Portfolio Guidelines
The Photography portfolio section of the audition is very important. The thought and care put into your presentation will demonstrate your passion for photography. You do not need a "professional" camera to create your portfolio. Taking photographs with your phone is fine, if that is what you have available.
Portfolios should include the following 5-6 pieces to include:
1. A portrait (of a person's face or full body image)
2. One photograph that includes each of the following elements (total of 3 images):
- Shadows
- Reflections
- Lines
3. One or two additional photographs that you think best shows your style and/or interests in photography.
All works can be submitted in color or black and white.
Please include your last name in the title of each image saved (for example: Smith_portrait.jpg for item 1 at left. Smith_shadows.jpg for item 2 at left). Then submit your images through the interview sign up form that will be emailed to all applicants in mid-January. Got questions? Email Shannon at the link below.
Mr. Fletcher will review portfolio materials before your placement interview so that you may discuss your artwork and goals in joining Photography. Portfolios should be submitted by Jan. 20.
If you require assistance, please contact Shannon Morgan Miller.
