Drawing & Painting Admission Guidelines
Applicants of all skill levels are encouraged to apply. Contact Ms. Mancini with any questions or for assistance.
Portfolio Guidelines
1. Please bring 3 to 5 pieces of your artwork to your interview. It's totally fine if you have no previous art experience, use the list below to inspire you so we get to know your style and interests. The interview is not a test.
Examples of artwork can include:
- A portrait (a person drawn from life or a photograph)
- A still life (like a flower, fruit or tree)
- Something from your imagination
- A painting using color
- A drawing or painting that you feel shows your style and interests.
2. Works can be submitted in any media (painting, drawing, charcoal, etc)
3. Please include your name and phone number on the back of each piece.

Interview Guidelines
You will be contacted in January to set up your interview appointment. In the meantime, please prepare your portfolio based on the description at left.
1. Please bring your completed work to your audition.
2. Please be prepared to discuss your work, artwork that made an impact on you, and what kind of kind of artwork you would like to create yourself.
3. All applicants will complete an art project during their time slot. The projects help students learn more about what Drawing & Painting classes are like.
