Noted Vocalist Inspires and Trains MSA Students

Every other Friday teaching artist Jessica Winn works with MSA Treble Choir students to refine their skills and offer new techniques. The classically trained vocalist is a notable mezzo-soprano in the Bay Area classical vocal community who has been performing and teaching for over two decades.

Jessica earned her Bachelor’s degree in Music at Mannes College of Music in New York City and holds a master’s degree from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music, with an emphasis on teaching, physiology and vocal performance. She is a master vocal coach at Acalenes High School.

Jessica has taken both the operatic and choral stage, performing a vast array of styles and periods from Baroque to Contemporary. Her performance credits include Opera San Jose, Phenix Opera, and Berkeley Chamber Opera Our MSA Vocal students look forward to their biweekly workshop-style sessions, made possible by generous donations to the MSA Foundation Annual Giving Campaign.
